What happens to my security deposit?

Your security deposit earns interest at whatever the current rate and is returned to the contact person for your group 21 days after the expiration of the lease. If you choose to renew your lease, the security deposit may carry over to the subsequent lease period.

How is move in day handled?

Move in day is June 1st, 1:00 p.m. or any scheduled day thereafter, excluding weekends. A detailed move-in procedure letter is emailed to the contact person for your house the first week of May outlining utility and move in day information. If your contact person is not able to pick up keys on June 1, any other roommate will be able to pick up all the entrance keys to the house.

How are repairs made?

Repairs are requested through the contact person designated for your group. The contact person emails the property manager outlining the repair that needs to be done. The property manager responds to the email with a date that the repair will be made.

Who pays for the repairs?

The management company pays for the repair. However, if a tenant or a guest of the tenant breaks some thing, the repair is reported to management to schedule the repair. The cost of the repair is the responsibility of the tenant and will be billed to the tenant.

What do I do in case of an emergency?

If the repair is an emergency, any person on the lease calls the property manager (218.343.2473) to respond to the emergency and, if appropriate, the fire department.

When is the first rent payment due?

The first rent payment is due by June 1. Please only one check per house.

Are subtenants acceptable?

Yes. Request your contact person to email the property manager for a subtenant application and instructions to add the new roommate to the lease.
